Durango Colorado area information and links below will help you navigate our great little town. It’s a magnificent place to live! Durango is a delightful collection of contrasts. It’s surrounded by wide open spaces, much of which is public land, National Forest and wilderness areas. The limited amount of private land helps keep property values solid. In winter, the Durango area is a skier’s paradise with plenty of snow and clear blue skies.
We enjoy over 300 sunny days a year with mild temperatures: not too cold in the winter; not too hot in the summer. Sitting at the southernmost tip of the Rocky Mountains, we have the luxury of visiting the desert on one day, skiing on the next, and then round up the long weekend with 18 holes of golf.
